Uniform
The Department of Education requires students to adhere to acceptable general standards of dress as determined by the school community.
The wearing of school uniform makes a valuable contribution towards fulfilling the expectations and requirements of good grooming and personal cleanliness.
School uniform fosters pride in the school and assists in the maintenance of good behaviour.
By providing easy identification, a school uniform also increases security for students and promotes positive community perceptions of Public Education.
The Strathfield South High School community supports the wearing of school uniform, and it is an integral part of the school’s Welfare System.
All uniforms can be purchased from Lowes at Bankstown Central. Attached is a copy of the uniform requirements. Students are expected to wear school uniform:
· At all times during school hours unless otherwise directed.
· On excursions and outings other than special excursions or events where students will be given directions regarding appropriate dress.
· When representing the school.
· During school examinations.
· At all assemblies, presentations and information school evenings.
Note: Only SSHS jumpers and jackets are to be worn, jumpers and jackets that do not have the SSHS logo or crest are not to be worn. Staff will confiscate these, and parents will have to come to school to collect them.
