The NSW state emergency services (SES) is a volunteer-based organisation that responds to a wide range of emergencies and rescues across the state 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Beginning in Term 2, a select group of 23 students from Year 10, will engage in an intense 10-week program where they will work closely with the NSW state and emergency service staff, which will provide them with the skills and knowledge that will build resilience and equip them with life skills for future endeavours.
The program also has a major focus on developing leadership, teamwork and communications skills for young people. We wish the students the best of luck for the program ahead and who knows, we might have some new SES cadets by the end of the year.
