In Term 3, 20 Year 9 and 10 students from Strathfield South were selected to be a part of the Green Light Day initiative, where they were able to get a first-hand look at some of the roles and potential job opportunities around, logistics managers, freight loaders, forklift operators, and train and truck drivers.
Students received practical career advice from people working in the industry and from TAFE (technical and further education) and had the opportunity for an onsite visit at Sydney Intermodal Terminal in Chullora (Pacific National).
Here students spent their day learning about the roles and responsibilities within the company as well as learning the ins and outs or the life of an employee working in the ever growing transport and logistics industry.
